Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within is a movie scifi animated by Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of Final Fantasy series of role-playing. He was released on 11 July 2001, the United States is from Columbia Pictures.

Although the title of Final Fantasy, the film has absolutely no relation to the Final Fantasy series, which is establishing itself as a non-canon movie. The story follows scientists Aki and Dr. Sid Ross in their efforts to free the Earth a mysterious and deadly alien race known as the ghost, which leads to humankind to life that the “barrier cities.” They have to compete against General Hein, who wishes to attack the aliens with the Zeus space cannon to end the conflict.

The film received a slush weather and had box office success bomb. The film was the first company to make photorealistic rendering 3-D movie.
